A specialist’s approach to implant dentistry Dr. Bassas is one of a small number of clinicians in the United States to hold dual specialty Board certification, as a Diplomate of both the American Board of Prosthodontics and the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry. He also completed a rare dual residency in oral surgery and prosthodontics — training that allows him to both surgically place dental implants and design the final restorations that go on top of them, a continuity of care that many practices divide between multiple providers. Dr. Bassas’s offices are the continuation of a fourth-generation prosthodontics practice. This origin and history has shaped his approach to the field and how he serves patients.
